Hi guys, it's been a while since i posted pics of my progress so i thought i wouldn't make you all wait any longer.

Shere it goes

I'm working on the jig that my friend Al Peebels had shared the plan with us, making one for me and one for my bud Mike Spencer, not really satisfied with the results yet, i might have to work some more precision on the pivot holes of the legs to get more acurate radiuses but all and all, it looks like it's gona be a very promising jig. Thanks again Al!

worked on my binding router jig, Arnt's jig inspired me to come up with my own version, i put the guitar in the guitar vise and route free hand, the router sits on a plexigass sliding plate, which slides on the metal plate underneath. this metal plate has a 5/16" long bolt at the front, withouth threads for most of its length and i slide some bearings along that length that will help register to the sides, another bizarre metal piece is there with the bearings and i use it to push the jig with the thumb.

my first cut with it!

another cut

a little test for the binding height and depth

Her are the purfling and binding channels made with it

Gonna start another thread for the other pictures, don't want to jam the dial up guys!

Serge,

Good job on the jigs! You've got some jig skills for sure!

Nice looking binding channel. Is that going to be purpleheart binding? What about the purfling?

Way to go, Serge!   Those hands have been busy. It's looking mighty fine, really anxious to see your finished product, but don't let me rush you. Never compromise quality for speed. If you're not doing it for a living, just relax and enjoy the ride.   Keep up the good work.

Ron

I was going to tease you about the cut thumb, but Coe beat me to it.
